Kailash Kher to Perform at Desert Fusion Unplugged 2011
After A.R. Rahman’s tour in Dubai, Sufi singer Kailash Kher is all set to perform at Desert Fusion Unplugged 2011 at Chi-The Lodge in Dubai on 23 December, right before Christmas Eve. Pop-rock band Strings and R&B singer-songwriter Natalie Di Luccio also will join Kher at the concert which will be opened by Adel Farooq.
ArtistAloud.com’s annual Rock Aloud music festival will feature 15 bands from four cities this year – Pune, Hyderabad, Guwahati and Goa. Bands chosen from the four cities include Hammerhead, Alobo Naga & The Band, Varun Carvalho, Elvis Rumion, Tamir Khan, Eagle Riders and Indus Gharana.
Four years after they opened what has become Mumbai’s finest live music venue, the partners behind Blue Frog are set to open the club’s Delhi outpost on December 22. Featuring 7,000 square feet of high-end design and state-of-the-art sound, the Delhi Blue Frog is located in a historic structure in Delhi’s Mehrauli area. While the actual interiors are still under wraps, we hear that the new venue will include the private seating “pods” similar to the ones that are so integral to the design of the Mumbai venue.

Ten weeks and 10 episodes after The Dewarists began broadcasting its message of the musical diversity of our country into millions of living rooms across India, the curtain is set to come down on the show’s well-received first season.
